In my last update I said I’d send one of these updates “once a month by the 10th”. Today is, of
course, the 21st. To quote Douglas Adams (probably), “I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise
they make as they go by.”

Lots has happened since my last update – one of my three planned blog posts was published, the first
batch of FoxSniffers went to production, and I remembered that Lunar New Year is a really big deal
in a particular corner of the world that happens to be nearly 100% of the electronics supply chain.

This isn’t a newsletter, but I’m going to send out a brief update on current projects once a month
by the 10th. Okay, it’s a newsletter.

The updates will be brief, and many will become full blog posts later. Do me a favor – keep me
accountable on updates. If you don’t get something by the 10th drop me a note, I’m probably hunched
over a soldering iron with no clue what day it is.

I’ve never had an email list, so staring at a blank page and trying to think about what to say to
hundreds of customers, friends, and curious hams is terrifying. The new PicoFox being nearly ready
to ship pushed me to finally write this first email.

Behind the scenes I’ve been working on a new manufacturing run of the PicoFox. Thank you to everyone
who provided feedback on the r2 PicoFox. R3 adds adjustable power output up to 65mW, USB-C charging
(even when off, such a novel idea!), a much nicer injection-molded enclosure, and many more
improvements.
